Why we are here

“When people attack you, you always have to remember that alot of what others say about you has alot more to do about them than you.”  - Hillary Rodham Clinton

Since the General Election 2008 has been in full swing, our Homegirl, Hillary Clinton, has been doing what she promised to do and what she had to do: work her heart out to help get Barack Obama elected. She has done this tirelessly and with all the spunk we love about her.

Her reasons for this obligation are threefold:

  1. She promised. Hillary is honorable and keeps her promises.
  2. If perchance Obama does NOT win the election, her behavior in the campaign will be seriously scrutinized. She must be an asset which, we know, she cannot help but be.
  3. Hillary is loyal to her party in every way. We love her sense of loyalty.

Over the past few weeks on Just Say No Deal, No Quarter, PUMA. and Blog Talk Radio PUMA affiliated blogs, we have noticed posts and comments by PUMAs who are angry with Hillary for one or another reason related to her campaigning for Obama. We feel we must protest.

Hillary is doing exactly what she said she would do. To continue her work in the Senate, for her people in New York State and for all Americans, she must remain in the Democratic Party’s good graces. We understand that and intend to stick with Hillary through thick and thin.

Hillary was abused, in Bill Clinton’s word, “assaulted,” regularly throughout the primary season. Our hearts went out to her. We wanted to protect her and fight back at every turn. That season is over. A new one has arrived and we say “ENOUGH!”

We will not countenance further attacks on Hillary or on any women in any way by anybody. No more. This is a defense weblog.

  • @U.S. Senate: Time to ratify LOST!

"... ratify the Law of the Sea Convention, which has provided the international framework for exploring these new opportunities in the Arctic. We abide by the international law that undergirds the convention, but we think the United States should be a member, because the convention sets down the rules of the road that protect freedom of navigation, provide maritime security, serve the interests of every nation that relies on sea lanes for commerce and trade, and also sets the framework for exploration for the natural resources that may be present in the Arctic." -HRC, 06-03-12, Tromso Norway
