The boss hears from two sources that Hillary Clinton is considering stepping down as Secretary of State this fall in order to run for Governor of New York. Posted by Michael Goldfarb on September 9, 2009 04:49 PM
Oh seriously! I suppose Michael missed this post here on these pages where Hillary is referred to as “the world’s top diplomat.” Hillary loves New York, and New York loves Hillary right back. It was wonderful having her back on Tuesday morning for the commencement of NY400 commemorating Henry Hudson’s arrival in NY Harbor, and her appearance at the Manhattan Charter School to host “My Education, My Future.” You could argue that she was so cute and effective with those kids that she is stepping down in order to teach elementary school. Although she would probably be the favorite teacher in the school and terrific at that job, alas, New York is NOT going to get her as a teacher either.
There is a serious reality gap lately in many quarters.

UPDATE!
Not only does this meme persist, it GROWS! Now she’s running for her old Senate seat OR Gov? My mother’s words come pouring into my brain :
*”Dont make me go back there!”
*”How many times do I have to tell you?”
*”I’m going to count to three! One…Two…”
Hillary is a star on the world stage! A welcome one! They love her! Albany? Have you ever BEEN there? THAT compared to what she did in Africa? What only SHE WOULD have had the nerve to do. The Senate? Are you watching what’s going on THERE? She would LEAVE her Global Mission to go back there and get shoved under the bus? AGAIN?
Gather your wits, people! Please!

Further Update:
She is here now. She was at a NY event yesterday for 9/11, and and to receive the Roosevelt Four Freedoms Award. There is no doubt that she is a New Yorker. This is “home” – she said so. The one thing I feared when she accepted State was that she would leave us here in the NY metro area. But she is here, where we so love her. She is home. I love seeing Hillary so effective on the world stage, and I love having her as a neighbor. Hillary, as I have said so often, you rock!
She will shine wherever she stands – in the schools, in the grocery store, in the parking lot, in Mt. Rushmore, in front of the military and their families, shoulder to shoulder with everyday Americans – she will shine wherever she stands! Rise Hillary Rise!
Your 18 million await you, 24/7.

This rumor has been growing legs, but of course that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true.
Here’s an idea… Hillary can carpetbag herself over here to Michigan and be OUR governor! If she can fix our state’s problems, she can fix anything.

Sorry, Jen. Point is she doesn’r need a job. She has one. And the one she has is much more important than governor of anywhere. She is dedicated and not a quitter. It’s a ridiculous lie.
